Meet our founder
Myraco was born from the heart and vision of Matilda Bisola, a woman whose journey blends creativity, resilience, and an unshakable belief in possibility. Long before Myraco became a label recognized on international red carpets and television screens, it lived quietly in the dreams of a young girl from a small town in Ondo State, Nigeria.
Growing up, Matilda was mesmerized by the world of style. Her mother’s fashion business filled their home with fabrics, colours, and the hum of imagination, while her father—though a lawyer—embodied entrepreneurship in its purest form. Together, they ignited a spark in her, a fascination with the power of clothing and the freedom of building something of your own.
But like many children of African parents, Matilda first walked the path laid before her: law. Over the course of eight years, she earned three law degrees and qualified professionally in both England and Nigeria. When she was finally called to the Nigerian Bar, she knew she had honoured her roots. Now, it was time to honour her calling.
With courage and clarity, Matilda stepped into the world she had always longed for by bringing Myraco to life.
Journey so far
Over the last eight remarkable years, she has carried the brand through seasons of growth, learning, reinvention, and triumph. Her designs have graced the silhouettes of extraordinary women, from Jemima Osunde and Osas Ighodaro to international icons like Garcelle Beauvais and Jennifer Hudson, including a spotlight moment on The Jennifer Hudson Show. Each milestone has strengthened Myraco’s voice: bold, elegant, expressive.
Today, Myraco is evolving once again. The brand has expanded beyond timeless womenswear into accessories, including finely crafted handbags. Currently preparing to introduce its first menswear collection which is a testament to Matilda’s ever-growing creative energy.
For her, Myraco is a space where passion, artistry, and purpose meet. It’s a reflection of her belief that human potential is limitless. Matilda carries a message within her work:
